Why I Started Making Wickless Candles

Many of you have asked how our wickless candles came to be, and the answer is actually pretty personal.

It first started with my daughter. She has a busy toddler running around and loves having candles in her home, but she wanted a safer option that would still allow her to enjoy beautiful fragrances.

I loved the idea, but I kept putting it off.

Then last Christmas, I had one of those moments that got my attention.

I was decorating for the holidays and had a candle burning on my counter. While putting batteries into one of my small Christmas trees, I completely forgot the candle was there. I tilted the tree onto the counter and accidentally set it right on top of the flame.

Before I knew it, my Christmas tree was on fire.

Thankfully, I caught it quickly and no major damage was done, but it reminded me how easily accidents can happen.

That experience finally pushed me to create the wickless candles I had been thinking about for so long.

What I love most is that they fit perfectly with the style of products I already create. If you’ve been with me for a while, you know I love bakery-inspired designs—from whipped toppings and bath milkshakes to waffle bath bombs and sweet treat-inspired bath goodies. Wickless candles gave me a way to bring that same creativity into home fragrance.
