Two Years in the Making: Our Shampoo & Conditioner Bars

Two years ago, customers started asking me a question:

“Are you ever going to make shampoo bars?”

I loved the idea, but I knew I didn’t want to rush it.

Hair care is personal, and if I was going to add shampoo bars to All About The Suds, I wanted to take the time to create a collection with choices for different hair and scalp needs—not simply make one bar and expect it to work for everyone.

So I started researching, testing and refining.

Two Years Later…

What started as a customer request eventually became a collection of eight shampoo bars and two conditioner bars, all handcrafted in small batches in my Gilbert, Arizona studio.

There are shampoo bars for All Hair Types, Dry/Curly Hair, Oily Hair, Scalp Care, Sensitive Scalp, Clarifying, Oily Roots & Dry Ends, and Rice Water.

And because shampoo is only part of the routine, I created two conditioner bars: Light Detangling and Deeply Nourishing.

Which Ones Do I Use?

This is one of my favorite questions!

I use the Dry/Curly Hair Shampoo Bar paired with the Deeply Nourishing Conditioner Bar.

And since launching the collection, the Dry/Curly bar has quickly become one of the most popular choices with customers, too. I have to admit, that makes me smile.

Worth the Wait

There were plenty of tests and adjustments along the way, but I’m glad I gave myself the time to develop this collection the way I wanted to.

Seeing all ten colorful bars lined up in my studio for the first time was pretty special. What began with customers simply asking, “Will you ever make shampoo bars?” had finally become a complete All About The Suds Hair Care Collection.

And now the best part is seeing you choose your bars and make them part of your own routines.
